Scheduler Military/Industrial

Position Overview:

Looking for a dynamic and flexible candidate to join our Sales / Supply Chain team who will have a variety of core responsibilities. The successful candidate will help manage and support the coordination of Order Fulfillment, Scheduling, Planning, Invoicing and Inventory Management activities.  The successful candidate must be able to be certified under the Controlled Goods Program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Track and coordinate supply chain operations, observing and analyzing the entire process from acquisition to final delivery.
  • Review open order report daily.
  • Review and ensure all planning parameters are accurate for current or new parts.
  • Understand product demand and update forecast within targeted schedule.
  • Schedule and release orders to the floor.
  • Prepare and process all customs documents for international shipments.
  • Sending ASN's
  • Analyze, schedule and work with purchasing to expedite material according to requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their shipping needs and providing timely assistance and support.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Implement strategies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and meet company objectives.
  • Support Inventory Management objectives, for all warehouse locations
  • Mitigate Expedited Freight Costs
  • Other Duties as assigned

Key Skills / Core Competencies:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex processes.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) skills in English and Spanish
  • Works well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Theory

Education / Experience:

  • College or University Degree in Supply Chain Management or Project Management
  • Education, Certificate and/or experience within Aerospace and Defense and Industrial fields considered an Asset
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, AS 9100, CGP considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel including advanced formulas, Smartsheet, and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of EDI and ASN's an asset
  • Familiarity with Distribution and Automotive environments considered an asset
