Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate project bids, analyzing costs, and supporting project planning efforts. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques to ensure competitive and precise pricing. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver comprehensive estimates that align with project scope and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project documents using tools such as On Screen Take-off & Quick Bid
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
- Develop comprehensive project cost proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Assist in project management tasks by providing accurate cost forecasts and supporting scheduling efforts.
- Review bid documents thoroughly to ensure all scope elements are accurately captured and priced.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating data, assumptions, and correspondence for future reference.
- Support the review of subcontractor quotes and assist in selecting qualified partners for projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Knowledge of project management principles related to construction projects is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail while managing multiple estimates simultaneously. This role is vital for ensuring our projects are accurately priced to meet client expectations while maintaining profitability. We seek motivated professionals committed to precision, efficiency, and teamwork in the construction industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
