Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters with a variety of tasks, supporting the successful completion of residential and restoration projects. Prior experience in construction or woodworking is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
  • Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, measuring and cutting lumber
  • Handle heavy lifting and material transportation on-site safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily activities

Skills

  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques including woodworking, framing, and assembly
  • Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation is desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team environment
