About the Role

Client is modernizing its systems to improve healthcare delivery. We're looking for a
Communications & Visualizations Designer
who can
translate complex technical and architectural concepts into clear, accessible, and visually engaging content
. Your work will help technical and non-technical stakeholders understand system designs, governance frameworks, and data standards.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with architects and solution designers to document:
  • Data governance frameworks
  • Architecture models and integration flows
  • Consent and access control policies
  • Roadmaps and terminology alignment plans
  • Create
    visual assets
    : infographics, architecture maps, flow diagrams, dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain
    standardized templates
    for reports, decks, and design documents.
  • Translate technical models into
    plain-language materials
    for ministries, partners, and public audiences.
  • Ensure
    AODA compliance
    , branding consistency, and accessibility in all deliverables.
  • Manage version control and documentation traceability using tools like
    SharePoint, Confluence, Git
    .
  • Support governance forums with briefing decks and progress visuals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years
    experience in visual storytelling and technical illustration using tools like
    Adobe Creative Suite, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, Figma
    .
  • 2+ years
    understanding of health data interoperability standards (FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC).
  • 2+ years
    experience designing accessible content (AODA compliance).
  • 1+ year
    knowledge of privacy laws (PHIPA, FIPPA) in healthcare IT.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare information systems or public sector projects.
  • Knowledge of version control and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Git, Confluence).
  • Strong writing and editing skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
