About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga'a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact

As a Mine Operations Dispatcher, you play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and coordinated underground operations. You'll oversee multiple site automation systems, manage critical communications, and maintain real-time awareness of equipment, personnel, and environmental conditions. Your attention to detail and quick decision-making support production goals while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Promote a safe and healthy work site environment, utilizing the control room and data collected by the HMI and cameras.
  • Collect information from all relevant sources, observing and obtaining data to support operational decisions.
  • Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings to detect or assess problems and respond accordingly.
  • Provide site-wide emergency management, including releasing stench gas, contacting management, notifying emergency agencies, and mobilizing emergency equipment.
  • Manage warning alarms generated by monitoring systems and notify the responsible parties.
  • Effectively manage the Ventilation on Demand (VOD) system, including gas clearing requirements.
  • Ensure procedures and policies are followed during all blasting activities, including underground tag board monitoring and control of fans and ventilation systems.
  • Coordinate return-to-work activities following gas clearing, workplace closures, and emergency shutdowns.
  • Operate the Cemented Rock Fill (CRF) plant through automation, coordinating with underground operators to ensure safe placement of materials.
  • Track mobile equipment fleet location and status using Imagine Software, and record operational data in Pitram.
  • Maintain accurate control room records, reconcile shift logs, and utilize data to analyze systems and promote continuous improvement.
  • Create and distribute daily reports and announce mine-wide communications over the radio as required.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
  • Post-secondary education or training in mining, process control, or a related field an asset
  • Proficiency in data entry, reporting, and monitoring systems such as Pitram or similar
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and situational awareness
  • Previous experience in mine operations or control room environments preferred
  • Ability to make clear decisions under pressure and follow established procedures

The Brucejack Operations team is now recruiting for the position of Mine Operations Dispatcher with a competitive base salary between $61, ,500 / year, with an additional short-term incentive of 10%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$61,200 -76,500 / year . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
