Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a tractor-trailer for cross-border, long-haul, city work, and shunting.
• Transport goods safely and efficiently, following all regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records as per industry requirements.
• Work closely with dispatch for effective route planning and timely deliveries.
• Deliver shipments with professionalism and great customer service.

Job Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, applicants must:

Have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.

Hold a valid US visa (required for cross-border trips).

Have a valid Canadian work status for at least the next two years.

Be comfortable with cross-border, long-haul, city work, and shunting.

Be physically present in Halifax to complete the hiring process (road test & in-person interview).

Be willing to undergo background checks, drug testing, and other necessary screenings.

Demonstrate a commitment to safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

Competitive Pay & Benefits:

$22 - $23 per hour for city work and shunting.

$0.60 per mile for cross-border hauls.

$0.50 per mile for Canada-wide long-haul routes.

Selection Process:

Road Test – Candidates must showcase their driving skills and safety awareness.

In-Person Interview – A face-to-face discussion to assess experience, professionalism, and knowledge of regulations.
