Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Traffic Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow in construction zones, ensuring the safety of both workers and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction sites to ensure a safe environment.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers.
  • Communicate effectively with construction crews to coordinate safe work practices.
  • Monitor traffic patterns and adjust control measures as necessary to minimize disruptions.
  • Report any incidents or hazards to the site supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required in all weather.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
