Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to provide exceptional in-home care to a client who has Parkinson. This role involves assisting him with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing a strong focus on patient-centered service. Candidates should be committed to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality while delivering high-quality care in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
- Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation
- Support patient with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to meet nutritional needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Document patient care activities accurately
- Communicate effectively with family and supervisor regarding patient progress and concerns
- Support patients with disabilities or developmental disabilities through personalized caregiving approaches
Skills
- Experience working in home care environments
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate senior care
- Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while following healthcare plans and protocols
