We are seeking a Retail Floor Supervisor who will support daily store operations and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role oversees merchandising standards, register accuracy, and floor coverage while contributing to hiring, training, and developing team members. The Supervisor helps drive smooth operations, loss prevention, and employee engagement to ensure the store meets its goals and upholds Talize's commitment to sustainable fashion and excellent service.

Availability Requirements 

This role requires open availability, including weekends, holidays, and closing shifts.

Salary Range

$45,760/annually

What You'll Be Doing - Every Day is Game Day
  • Operational Duties
    • Lead daily floor operations, including walkthroughs, task delegation, and merchandising standards.
    • Oversee opening/closing procedures, register accuracy, pricing checks, and floor readiness.
    • Monitor sales floor and register zones to ensure replenishment, organization, and smooth customer flow.
    • Support weekly scheduling and assist with sales events, promotions, and in-store activities.
    • Manage cash handling, reconciliation, and completion of required administrative tasks.
  • Leadership & People Duties
    • Train and onboard team members on POS, merchandising, loss prevention, and customer service.
    • Assist with hiring, coaching, performance feedback, and policy enforcement.
    • Support employee engagement through recognition and positive team culture.
    • Resolve escalated customer concerns to ensure strong service recovery.
  • Safety & Compliance Duties
    • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across all areas.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss-prevention procedures.
    • Report hazards, incidents, and policy concerns to leadership and P&C.
    • Collaborate with management to maintain consistent operations and store standards.

  • 3+ years of retail management experience.
  • Strong passion for retail and delivering great customer experiences.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills.

  • Experience in thrift or second-hand retail (an advantage).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands continuously throughout the shift; lift up to 50 lbs; and push/pull wheeled containers up to 500 lbs.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, insects, garbage, and occasional rodents may occur during regular work activities.
  • Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular interaction with customers and the public.

Your Path to Joining Us - The Interview Journey

Here's what you can expect:

  1. Application Review: Our team will carefully review your application and qualifications.
  2. Initial Phone Screen: If qualified, a quick chat to get to know you better and align your goals with ours.
  3. Predictive Index Assessment: Take a quick 15-20 minute that helps us get to know you better.
  4. In-Person Interview: Following the PI assessments, successful candidates will be invited for an in-person store visit. This will include an interview and meet-and-greet with the Store's General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM), as well as an overview of store operations and structure.
  5. Final Interview: Interview with Market Manager and People & Culture Business partner.
  6. Offer process: If you are successful through the interview process, you will first receive a verbal offer, which is subject to a criminal record check and background checks. After these are completed, a written offer will be issued.
