ERCO Worldwide is looking for a
Sustainability Specialist
to join our sustainability team The primary function of this position is to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sustainability and Responsible Care initiatives across the organization. This role ensures compliance with Responsible Care standards, enhances ESG performance, and promotes a culture of sustainability through data analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project support

The Role:

  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies aligned with organizational goals, integrating them into operations and decision-making.
  • Help conduct materiality assessments to identify key ESG issues and support sustainability projects.
  • Conduct internal RCMS audits and help maintain the company-wide RCMS manual. Liaise with plant and department leaders on updates and ensure alignment with health, safety, environmental, and process safety procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with RC 14001, ISO 14001, and related systems to support compliance.
  • Perform GHG calculations using recognized protocols and coordinate assurance processes. Ensure tools are accurate and implemented effectively.
  • Coordinate data collection and prepare reliable data for reports, reviews, and disclosure platforms. Support EcoVadis assessments and implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Report on sustainability trends and conduct ESG performance analysis. Monitor relevant regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams to enhance monitoring tools, design new systems as needed, and provide ongoing user support as a system champion.
  • Support other assigned tasks related to sustainability and Responsible Care, contributing to continuous improvement and organizational alignment

The Person:

  • Bachelors in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business Administration or a related discipline is required
  • Responsible Care and Environmental Sustainability Standards Training
  • ISO internal Auditor Training
  • Sustainability Reporting Training (GRI Standards, SASB, GHG Protocol or similar)
  • Strong Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
