Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of child development, effective classroom management, and the ability to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing standards.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Observe and document children's learning, growth, and development, using the Flight framework.
  • Support positive guidance strategies that promote children's self-regulation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene practices are followed, including accurate recordkeeping.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's experiences and progress.

Qualifications

  • Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification: Level 2 or Level 3 required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification (Child Care Standard).
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within the last 6 months).
  • Strong understanding of Alberta Child Care Licensing Standards and Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with children ages 0–12 in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
