Triage Nurse Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Triage Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of medical attention. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather detailed patient histories and vital signs
  • Set up patients in the room.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop appropriate care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families during stressful situations.
  • Prepare vaccines for doctor to administer.

Experience

  • Previous experience with OSCAR EMR.
  • Previous experience in triage or emergency nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of patient care protocols and medical terminology essential for effective communication.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
