Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing residential units, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current tenants. The Leasing Agent plays a crucial part in ensuring occupancy goals are met while delivering a seamless leasing experience for all clients.

Duties

  • Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, highlighting features and answering questions
  • Manage rental applications, verify tenant information, and process leasing paperwork efficiently
  • Utilize Yardi or similar property management software for data entry, lease tracking, and reporting
  • Maintain organized files and documentation related to leasing activities and tenant records
  • Follow up with prospects via phone or email to nurture leads and convert inquiries into leases
  • Coordinate move-in procedures, including preparing lease agreements and conducting orientation sessions
  • Assist with marketing efforts by posting listings online and promoting available units through various channels
  • Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone, email, or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Collaborate with maintenance and office staff to ensure property readiness and tenant satisfaction
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Skills

  • Proficiency with Yardi or comparable property management software is preferred
  • Strong office experience with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous administrative experience in real estate or property management is advantageous
  • Proven sales ability with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Effective negotiation skills to close lease agreements successfully
  • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication and CRM tools
  • Experience with data entry, filing systems, and general office procedures (including CMMS)
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage prospects effectively
  • Knowledge of property management practices and industry standards is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $34,400.00-$109,835.44 per year
