As the Material Handler, you will work on the manufacturing floor to assist in the production and assembly of equipment. You will be in close communication with various departments within the organization and will help coordinate the efficient flow of materials and finished goods into and out of the production process.Location: 100 Savage Drive, Cambridge, ONDedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – FridayJob DutiesSafely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of productionPerform daily inspection of material handling equipment (eg, forklift, walkie), and report any minor or major damage to the equipmentOrganize and maintain 5S in storage areas both within the plant and outside  Review paperwork to locate parts and transport them to departments throughout the plant  Follow written directions and interpret schedules, shipping documents, and drawings  Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules  Skills and ExperienceAdapt to a changing work environment, competing demands and be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected eventsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively  Effective organization, problem solving, and time management skills  Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task  Physical requirements including driving (90%), standing, and climbingUnderstanding of MRP/ERP systems are an asset  Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outsideQualificationsImportant skills include communication, problem-solving, and organizationPrevious experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pump carts, and walkiesPrior experience in warehousing or logistics an assetWhat We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ's, pizza parties and more Competitive Wages and Profit Sharing: In addition to competitive wages, we celebrate our financial success together through profit sharing. RRSP Matching Program: Retirement planning?
