Live-in Caregiver

We are looking for a live-in caregiver for a senior couple in the Marpole area of Vancouver.

Shifts are 3 or 4 days a week, as a live-in, starting from either Sunday morning or Monday morning through to Thursday mornings.

Responsibilities include the following:

- Medication reminders

- Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living

- Stand-by assistance for walking

- Meal preparation

- Housekeeping

- Accompaniment to medical appointments

While some of the duties are to support both individuals, most of the care is focussed on the wife, as the husband is more independent.

We are looking for a caregiver with experience with Parkinsons and dementia/memory care. We also need someone who knows how to drive as part of the duties involve taking the client to medical appointments. The client has a car for use.

myCareBase is an online platform that connects families who are caring for an aging loved one, with caregivers looking for work. We help families and paid caregivers facilitate the recruitment, vetting and placement process.

We want to help you find more clients We are seeking people who are registered health care assistants, care aides, or those experienced in providing companionship and personal care services to seniors. You set your own hourly rates, and have control of when and where you want to work. There is no cost to be included on our platform.

Accepted candidates will go through an assessment and vetting process to ensure a consistent level of quality on our platform. This process will include a job reference check (so please be prepared to provide 2 job references) and a criminal background check.
