Labourer / Equipment Operator

Brief Description

The team at First Capital Construction is looking to add another dedicated member as a Labourer / Equipment Operator.

The position consists of performing any combination of tasks related to site work and equipment operation. The role will also support our winter snow operations..

Hours

  • Monday to Friday (7am – 5pm)
  • Full Time
  • On Call for weather events during snow contracts

Tasks

  • Shoveling, operating a blower, plow truck, or any combination thereof
  • Operating Excavator, backhoe, skidsteer, mini ex, loader etc. for excavating, dirt moving, snow clearing, material handling
  • Transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites
  • Loading and unloading of trucks, vehicles, equipment
  • Perform daily inspections on equipment and vehicles
  • Provide quality customer service and ensure satisfaction through reliable service
  • Safely secure and transport loads to appropriate drop off locations
  • Perform all duties safely and while abiding company policies

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent, full time, year-round position;
  • Outdoor and indoor working sites
  • Heavy lifting may be required
  • Wage will be based on experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License required
  • D classification preferred
  • Previous equipment operation experience required
  • Previous roll off truck experience preferred
  • Has safety footwear
