About the Opportunity
- Prepare timely and accurate accounting reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses for Senior Management and Program Managers.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to prepare annual operating budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
- Ensure effective internal controls are properly documented, implemented and adhered to.
- Perform timely and accurate daily and monthly account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the performance of monthly review procedures over the cash process and any other processes if requested.
- Work closely with program area leaders to respond to queries and issues as they arise.
- Hold regular meetings with the Accounting Manager to discuss financial account analyses, review findings, and address any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with the implementation of efficiency initiatives including automation where possible.
- Prepare annual provincial and federal government reports.
- Liaise with payroll personnel to ensure the completeness and accuracy of payroll data in the general ledger.
- Participate in workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure health and safety compliance.
About You
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or near completion
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience, preferably in full-cycle accounting
