This is a permanent full-time position based out of a hanger located near South Terminal at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, BC.Reporting to Manager Inventory Control & Planning, the primary responsibility of the Procurement Coordinator is to manage the Purchasing function within the organization and support the Maintenance Department with procurement of goods, services, inventory, parts and materials in accordance with the Pacific Coastal Airlines' MPM 7.3 and purchasing practices. Success in this role will be achieved through application of strategic purchasing concepts to satisfy operational demands of Pacific Coastal Airlines and ensuring correct and efficient flow of product through Stores to the Maintenance Hangar. Duties and Responsibilities:PurchasingProcure materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services within the established limits, quantity, quality and pricing guidelines adhering to Pacific Coastal Airlines' MPM 7.3, purchasing processes, and spending authorization matricesSource and research materials for best possible price and appropriate quality via liaison with vendors and suppliersObtain three EFQs in good faith and negotiate prices fairly, but firmly, prior to closing the purchase transaction with vendors and suppliersDetermine accurate delivery timelines to ensure timely acquisition of products and servicesLiaise with vendors on resolving problems associated with product delivery delays and continue to communicate status of product delivery to appropriate departmentsStay current with market prices of various goods and services Inventory ManagementMaintain and manage stock levels based on minimum and maximum quantities established in the system for various parts and materialsInteract with suppliers on a day-to-day basis, review inventory on an ongoing basis, and order as required based on minimum requirements set in our inventory systemCarryout Receiving Inspection as per MPM 7.6 of incoming stock and return to stock itemsAssist with inventory counts on a cyclical basisOccasional AOG SupportSupplier ManagementSelect Preferred vendors and suppliers based on merits of quality and priceMaintain Pacific Coastal Airlines Preferred Suppliers List and develop and maintain long-term valuable relationships with suppliersNegotiate and propose contracts with suppliers of goods and services with long-term preferred pricingAdministrative SupportProcess purchase orders, including placing orders, with vendors/suppliersVerify orders and follow up on order progress (confirmation, transport, customs, etc.)Work with various departments including Accounts Payable to address concerns and issues (such as order quality, quantity, price, delivery, and departmental approval process)Provide administrative support to the Manager Inventory Control & PlanningOther duties as assigned and requiredEducation & Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education required2+ years of experience in procurement and/or inventory management requiredExperience in aviation industry is considered an assetSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 platform mainly Outlook, Teams, and SharePointSkilled in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate levelStrong Communication and excellent Negotiation skills requiredOrganized multi-tasker who can work independently with little direct supervisionAbility to work in a fast paced environmentBeing able to work resourcefully and efficiently in a lean departmentWhy Pacific Coastal Airlines?Company Culture: We honor our company motto of People Friendly, People First for both our employees and our passengers.
