POSITION OVERVIEW

Crew members are responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences for each customer, every time they walk through our doors. From greeting guests with genuine passion, to teaching customers about our menu and customizing for their personal preferences.

As a Crew Member, you will be an ambassador of YIAYIA's core values. You will be an integral part of the guest experience, through the face-to-face and digital customer service model that sets us apart from other restaurants. You will report to the Supervisor (General Manager) and will be empowered to make your own decisions that create the best experience for our guests.

We encourage our team members to be well-rounded team players, willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep your store running smoothly No matter what position you start in with us, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained and will be tasked to take on different positions within our team.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver a delicious, unique, and memorable experience to each of our guests
  • Enthusiastically educate guests about our menu and assemble orders as requested
  • Manage delivery and mobile orders
  • Keep the serving/packing line, pickup shelves, and restrooms clean and organized
  • Minor recipe preparation following procedures to maintain food quality and consistency
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures
  • Restock stations and keep them clean and organized
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Put deliveries away
  • Cross train across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth
  • May stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Assist with any additional duties assigned

Requirements/Desired Traits

  • Food, Restaurant, Team and/or Customer Service experience
  • Passionate about food and providing superior customer service
  • A team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Quick and adaptable learner
  • Excellent and collaborative communication skills
  • A knack for delivering personable customer service and a desire to make connections with guests everyday
  • Accountable in upholding high standards

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend information at a close range at a close range, and follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and, stand for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • Subject to exposure to cleaning chemicals

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Guelph, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
