GENERAL SUMMARY

The Restaurant General Manager will work with the Franchise Owner and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store. Reporting to the Owner. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the store. You will be a role model, leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with effective and profitable operation of restaurant location.
  • Assist General Manager with daily operations of casual dining restaurant with up to 5 to 10 staff per shift.
  • Providing highest level of Customer Service including Handling Customer service issues at location level.
  • Conduct orientation, train and coach all Customer Service Employees in execution of daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll budgets.
  • Be able to assist the kitchen staff during rush hours.
  • Put in orders with vendors in a timely manner
  • Monitor inventory and staff hours as per the budget
  • Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, debits/damages, and charge-backs to headquarters to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
  • Help solve problems that affect the store's service, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Reports any incidents or issues immediately to his/her Manager or Regional Manager.
  • Supervise security of store.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to our customers.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in conjunction with other staff in the day-to-day operations of the store

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in hospitality/restaurant management related field an asset.
  • College Diploma in relevant field an asset.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule to manage the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in Restaurant Industry preferred.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced restaurant facility handling multi-million dollar sales volume per year.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships and utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximize revenues and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teammates to ensure good operating practices and procedures are adhered to. This includes Safe Food handling procedures and proper product rotation.
  • Provide Team leadership and coaching to teammates and staff performance appraisals.
  • Ensuring teammates are given the appropriate on-the-job training and direction in executing brand products.
  • Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to work force.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coordinate operation of all equipment necessary to run the store effectively.
  • Excellent people skills and Superb Customer Service Skills.
