If you are looking for a positive work environment, a sense of belonging, purpose and happiness of human dimensions, where collaboration and continuous improvement are part of your day-to-day, and where you have a direct impact on the customer experience, you are at the right place Omnitrans is currently searching for a Customs Specialist to join our Client Services Team in our Canadian Customs Brokerage division in Montreal or Toronto.The CSR is the official point of contact and responsible to communicate between assigned clients and various departments within the company to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely information and coordinate all activities related to Customs clearance of shipments entering Canada.This position is a 13-month maternity leave replacement contract.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and develop first class client relations with the clients via phone and email regarding order shipments, discrepancies, billing, deliveries, etc.Ensure that all documents required to release goods are received in good order (Commercial invoice, Canada Customs Invoice, Exports licenses, Bills of lading, etc.)Compile, sort and verify data is accurate and effectively solves potential problems or discrepancies prior to the documentations are sent for processing.Contact clients to obtain missing information.Establish the priority on shipments to be processed.Communicate with warehouses, freight forwarding companies and trucking companies to inquire about shipments status, resolve related problems or arrange deliveries.Manage track and trace shipment status, via electronic monitoring and manual updates.Communicate with CBSA and other PGAs to resolve any release issues or inquire about the status of entry.Communicate with internal departments (accounting, technical, logistics, etc.) to coordinate shipment or client-specific needs.Propose suggestions to the Supervisor/ Manager to improve communication and workflow at all levels of the operation and with importers;Validate and ensure completeness of client release and Mode of Transport specific profile instructions;Validate and ensure completeness of Client release base on specific profile instructions.Perform other general clerical duties.What You BringCompletion of College degree3 + years of working experience in logistics, ocean or air freight or supply chainStrong organizational and time management skills required, including the proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.Knowledge on CBSA regulations, importation documents and transportCCS certification is a plus but not mandatoryProficient computer skills required (MS Office) and can quickly learn the company software and specific programs.Ability to build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutionsAbility to multitask, organize.Bilingual (French and English)What We OfferBe part of a well-established international company, combining 45 years of experience in Customs Brokerage & Logistics services.Have an impact on the growth of the company.A hybrid work environment with 2 days per week at the office.24/7 telemedicine platform and an extra healthcare account expense.Have access to a complete insurance program of dental & medical services.Grow your career in a reputable company.Work in a flexible company with an agile mindset.#LI-Hybrid#LI-SK1 Omnitrans is committed to creating and maintaining an accessible and inclusive work environment to eliminate discrimination based on age, skin colour, origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation and any other characteristic.
