About Us
We are a stealth-mode startup with unique intellectual property centered around a Raspberry Pi-based edge device integrated with a sophisticated software ecosystem. Our solution connects and controls existing stationary hardware in facilities, enabling real-time actions and audio output, while streaming and storing data both offline and in the cloud. Our platform spans iOS, Android, and web applications, serving multiple user types with tailored experiences.
Your Role
As our Full-Stack Developer & Embedded Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in building, programming, and refining our Raspberry Pi edge device and the accompanying software applications. You will work closely with our core team in our Waterloo office to develop robust, scalable, and secure solutions that power our hardware and software ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and program the Raspberry Pi edge device firmware and software to interface with various hardware components within a facility.
- Design and implement communication protocols that trigger actions on existing stationary hardware and manage audio output.
- Build and maintain cloud and offline data storage solutions.
- Develop and enhance cross-platform applications for iOS, Android, and web, supporting three distinct user types with secure account management.
- Integrate AI technologies to optimize device performance, data processing, and user experience.
- Collaborate with the team to iterate on product features while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary technology.
- Troubleshoot, test, and debug hardware and software components to ensure reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Raspberry Pi development, including hardware interfacing and embedded programming.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack software development for mobile (iOS and Android) and web platforms.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and offline caching.
- Experience with audio processing and communication protocols.
- Fluency in AI technologies and their practical application in embedded and software systems.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Uptown Waterloo, ON.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding company IP and product details.
