Our client is seeking an ambitious, confident, and analytical Accountant to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This position contributes to the overall corporate objectives through the accurate completion and recording of financial reports, as well as all other full-cycle accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Process and record Pre-Authorized Payments.
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations and invoices.
  • Complete month-end procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare year-end working papers for external financial statement audits.
  • Maintain policies and procedure manuals relevant to accounting responsibilities.

Requirements:
  • CPA designation or within two years of completing the CPA program.
  • 3+ years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and experience with Dynamics Great Plains (an asset).
  • Strong work ethic, superior attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • Positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exposure within a lending environment (banking and/or leasing) is an asset.
  • Agreeable to a criminal background and credit check.
