Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and restaurant operations within a dynamic food industry setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and recipes
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
  • Manage cash handling accurately during transactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Assist in food prep tasks, including portioning, garnishing, and packaging
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Support team members in maintaining a smooth workflow during shifts

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
  • Understanding of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.96-$24.24 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
