Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This role offers an opportunity to work with various accounting software platforms and contribute to the financial health of our organization. Candidates should have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll processes, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting processes
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting
  • Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Prior experience in budgeting is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.62-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
