Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for change calculations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
  • Utilize POS systems effectively, including Micros POS, to process orders and manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while managing time effectively.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $17.10-$19.25 per hour
