Shift Supervisor

The Max Die Group is a world class tooling company, with three facilities located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Focused on large panel tooling such as production Floor Pan Dies, for which we are well known throughout the stamping industry. Max Die Group also has extensive experience & knowledge in Hot Stamp Die process, Dies for Parts needing Ultra High Strength steels, Rapid Prototype, Die Maintenance and Repair, Machining, Design, Press Tryout and Low Volume/Temporary production. Responsibilities:

· Responsible for coordinating and managing all plant activities on the shift (Tooling, Machining, Production)

· Effectively supervises assigned staff, ensuring optimal performance

· Provides feedback and suggestions for improved performance; Formulates and implements employee correction actions as needed

· Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the Company

· Promote a team and fair treatment environment

· Ensures excellent communication and transition across other shifts

· Coordinates closely with related departments to maintain schedules and implements necessary changes and revisions

· Reviews line ups from all Leaders and schedules shift accordingly. Monitor and track line-ups though the shift to ensure work is being completed in timely manner on hours supplied by the Leader

· Completes related reports and records

· Interact and effectively communicate with employees, management and customers

· Monitors the floor to ensure all company policies and procedures, standards and values; are being followed

· Ensures that all safety regulations and the employee handbook are followed

· Other general duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Grade 12

· Previous leadership experience and training preferred

· Experience as a toolmaker/machinist, and or supervisor in a Tool and Die setting

· Strong problem-solving abilities

· Able to use all related tool equipment and applications

· Ability to manage, supervise and motivate assigned staff demonstrating leadership qualities

· Well organized, strong planning and management skills

· Good communications skills – both verbal and written

· Attention to detail; quality orientation

· Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player

· Willingness to work overtime as needed

· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, ability to prioritize tasks accordingly

Note: This Supervisory position is a Days, Afternoons and Midnight rotating shift

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
