About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Lending Support Specialist to support our mortgage team in providing exceptional client service and ensuring a smooth loan process from application to funding. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist mortgage brokers with client pre-qualification, document collection, and application preparation.
  • Review client files for completeness and accuracy before submission to lenders.
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, appraisers, and lawyers to coordinate mortgage transactions.
  • Track and follow up on the status of mortgage applications to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate client records and update CRM systems.
  • Prepare commitment documents and compliance checklists.
  • Manage broker calendars, appointments, and correspondence as needed.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, email communication, and report preparation.
  • Stay up to date with lender guidelines, rates, and industry policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in mortgage, banking, real estate, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage application processes and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and mortgage software platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Education

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in finance, business, or a related field is an asset.
