provides international transportation and logistics solutions, specializing in fast, safe, and cost-effective shipping from Vietnam to Canada and beyond.
1. Operational Oversight & Supervision
- Supervise daily import/export operations, including shipment booking, documentation, and cargo tracking.
- Allocate workload to operations team members and monitor task completion and accuracy.
- Oversee customs clearance procedures and ensure all trade documents are prepared and submitted correctly.
- Monitor cargo movement from origin to destination (port-to-door, warehouse-to-door).
2. Team Management
- Lead, train, and mentor operations coordinators, clerks, and warehouse liaisons.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set KPIs, and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure team adherence to SOPs, company policies, and industry regulations.
3. Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between sales, warehouse, accounting, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on order fulfillment and shipping plans.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and vendors to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, addressing escalated issues promptly.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Review and approve shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, B/L, AWB, COO, and related permits.
- Ensure trade activities comply with government regulations (customs, CFIA, FDA, CPTPP, etc.).
- Maintain and audit operational records, logs, and filing systems.
5. Inventory, Warehouse & Transportation Oversight
- Monitor warehouse stock levels and coordinate inbound/outbound schedules.
- Ensure accurate cargo loading/unloading, labeling, and inspection procedures.
- Coordinate with trucking companies for last-mile delivery and pickup logistics.
6. Cost Control & Billing Review
- Review freight and logistics costs, verify invoices, and flag discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting on operational expenditures.
- Coordinate with finance team to ensure accurate billing and cost recovery.
7. Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify inefficiencies in operational workflows and recommend improvements.
- Implement new tools or procedures to enhance tracking, accuracy, and speed.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly operational performance reports to management.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by upper management or the company owner
Qualifications
- Vietnamese nationality - Fluent in Vietnamese and English; Chinese is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
- At least
3 years of experience
in logistics, import/export, or operations management. - Excellent
leadership, communication, and problem-solving
skills. - Proficient in
Microsoft Office
and familiar with
ERP/WMS systems
. - Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
