Job Description
Senior Billing Specialist - US Entities (6-month term)
- This is a hybrid position in Toronto or Montreal. This is a 6-month contract.
- Contract
- Hybrid model - up to 4x/week
As Senior Billing Specialist for our US entities, your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies promptly
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Support process improvements and ensure accuracy of financial data across systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow
- Manage and problem-solve transactional accounting activities as needed (AP, AR, bank recs, etc.)
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
- We are looking for someone with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct is a must
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis) are required for this position
- The candidate needs excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across departments; must be detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
- They should be known for their ability to problem solve and work under pressure with minimal supervision, and have to be self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on
