Description: This is a lecture/seminar course that will discuss advanced topics in human virology. The course focus will be on human viruses, pathogenicity in human hosts, and current literature on emerging pathogens.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates should be near completion of their Ph.D.  Candidates should also have experience in teaching topics in virology. and  be familiar with the most recent literature in the field.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience teaching Special Topics in Virology at UTSC is an asset.

Duties: Specific duties include designing and delivering lectures, guiding student discussions and assessing oral presentations, designing and marking writing assignments, design and delivery of data collection exercises, preparation of a final exam, marking/grading, office hours and miscellaneous clerical tasks.

Please note all course elements are in person at the UTSC campus. There are no hybrid options in the Department of Biological Sciences at UTSC for lectures, tutorials, laboratories or exams.
