Job Details:
Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Engagement, the Specialist, Corporate Communications supports the development and delivery of communications that reflect Trimac's culture, values, and leadership voice. This role develops communication plans, supports campaigns from planning through execution, and contributes to both internal and external corporate storytelling. The Specialist ensures messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with corporate standards to strengthen employee understanding, public awareness, and organizational reputation.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support day-to-day content operations and ensure all internal communications meet brand, accessibility, and technical standards. This role will focus on the creation of original written, graphic, and video content to support internal campaigns and engagement initiatives.
Who You Are:
You're someone who knows how to translate information into messaging that actually connects. Writing and editing come naturally to you, and you can shift tone depending on the audience, whether it's operations, leadership, customers, or internal teams. You've written communication plans, built campaign messaging, and supported rollouts across multiple channels without losing clarity or accuracy.
You work comfortably with communication platforms like SharePoint and CMS tools for web content, and you stay active across key social media channels to support brand presence. You bring creative value too, with experience in graphic design and basic video content creation, treating visuals and storytelling as assets, not afterthoughts.
Fast-changing environments don't throw you off; you stay organized, balance multiple priorities, and make sure deadlines are met with accuracy still intact. Most importantly, you collaborate well, consider feedback, build strong working relationships, and protect the brand by representing it thoughtfully and professionally when you communicate, create, or coordinate.
Responsibilities:
Communication Planning and Campaign Execution
- Develop communication plans for internal and external initiatives by outlining objectives, key messages, audiences, timelines, and channels.
- Support the execution of internal communications and engagement campaigns, such as CSR initiatives, DIEB programming, recognition programs, and corporate announcements.
- Coordinate timelines, gather information from stakeholders, and prepare content packages for seamless execution.
- Ensure campaign messaging is accurate, on time, and consistent across platforms.
Corporate Communication Support
- Lead messaging development for employee engagement, internal communications, and external media initiatives.
- Create strategy and content for corporate channels, including intranet, newsletters, websites, social media, and external publications.
- Support in executing marketing plans, business priority communications, and organizational change management.
Content Creation and Editing
- Write and edit content, including emails, intranet articles, website updates, social posts, scripts, and toolkits.
- Create simple visuals and short videos using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to support campaigns and corporate messaging.
- Apply brand tone, visual guidelines, and accessibility standards to all content.
Digital Publishing and Channel Management
- Publish and maintain content across internal and external platforms, including SharePoint, intranet CMS, Viva Engage, the corporate website, and social channels.
- Use platform tools and automation features to increase reach and engagement.
- Apply metadata and basic SEO practices to improve content discoverability.
Editorial and Stakeholder Support
- Review draft materials from internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, tone alignment, and accuracy.
- Work with partners across People & Culture, Operations, and Corporate functions to gather information and clarify communication needs.
- Translate complex information into clear and concise messaging for employees, customers, and public audiences.
- Track key performance metrics including email engagement, intranet views, website analytics, and social activity.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in digital publishing, communications, or content coordination.
- Experience with intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint), email campaign tools, or internal signage systems.
- Strong attention to detail, with skills in formatting, layout, and brand compliance.
- Proficient in visual content creation and editing, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently with deadlines and manage multiple content workflows.
- Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, or similar platforms) is an asset.
Benefits:
We invest in our employee's growth through training and development programs. We offer a comprehensive benefits package such as:
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and many more health and wellness benefits
- Paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays
- Paid time off for volunteer activities to help give back to our communities
