TrichoSpa by Earthtones is a premier clinical skin, hair, and scalp spa, and curl care boutique. We are dedicated to providing specialized trichological treatments to address a range of scalp and hair concerns, such as dryness, itching, flaking, hair damage, thinning hair, and hair loss. Our mission is to nurture a healthy scalp environment, promote optimal hair growth, and ensure that our clients' hair is well-moisturized, manageable, and always looking its best.

TrichoSpa by Earthtones is seeking a talented and passionate Hair Braider + Natural Hair Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, friendly, and professional individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating a unique and exciting guest experience. 

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine their desired braid styles and provide recommendations based on their hair type and scalp condition.
• Conduct wash services, ensuring that clients' hair and scalp are properly cleaned and prepared for styling.
• Perform a wide variety of braiding styles, including but not limited to knotless braids, Fulani braids, Goddess braids, and other advanced styles, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of our clients.
• Proficiency in performing twists, both with and without extensions, to cater to a wide range of client preferences.
• Expertise in creating various cornrowed styles, including intricate and artistic designs.
• Execute braiding techniques with precision, ensuring that each braid is neat, symmetrical, and long-lasting.
• Educate clients on proper hair and scalp care, offering product recommendations and maintenance tips to promote healthy hair and scalp.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sterilizing tools and equipment between appointments.
• Uphold the salon's professional standards, including adherence to the dress code and code of conduct.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in natural hair styling and braiding.
• Build and maintain a loyal client base by providing excellent service and creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other salon team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.

Qualifications + Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Hair Braider or Natural Hair Stylist.
• Strong braiding and styling skills, with proficiency in a variety of braid styles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexible schedule with a minimum of 2 days of availability per week, including the ability to offer services in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Compensation

• 40% commission on TrichoSpa and natural hair styling services provided
• 70% commission on braid extensions services provided
