We are seeking a skilled and reliable Snow Plow Operator to efficiently manage snow removal operations during winter months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating snow plowing equipment to ensure safe and accessible roads, driveways, and parking lots. This role requires attention to safety, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions. Prior experience with landscape maintenance, construction, or related fields is a plus, along with familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
Duties
- Operate snow plow trucks and other related equipment to clear snow from designated areas
- Perform routine maintenance checks on plow vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Assist with ice control by applying salt or other de-icing materials when necessary
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to identify potential mechanical issues
- Collaborate with team members to complete snow removal efficiently and safely
- Maintain safety standards at all times during snow removal operations
- Document completed work and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
Requirements
- Proven experience operating snow plow trucks or similar machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and winter weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long durations
- Prior experience in construction or maintenance fields is preferred but not mandatory
