About the role
The Business Growth Specialist is a full-cycle inbound sales role dedicated to helping commercial clients secure the right insurance solutions quickly and confidently. You are responsible for managing leads from first touch all the way through quoting, marketing, advising, and binding the policy.
You won't be chasing stale leads; you'll be the engine driving our small business segment by converting high-quality inbound opportunities into real clients. - Qualify prospects to understand their operations and needs, and maintain strong follow-up discipline to achieve a high conversion rate from inbound lead to bound policy.
- Confidently advise small business owners on appropriate coverage options, gather underwriting data, and manage the full quoting process to earn strong client satisfaction and positive feedback.
- Leverage internal tools and systems to deliver fast turnaround times on quoting and binding while ensuring all documentation and client files are clean, accurate, and audit ready (e.g., in HubSpot).
- Deliver fast, and build trust through education and clear guidance, minimizing client drop-off during the process.
- Adhere to Summit's sales workflows, manage the pipeline status diligently, and utilize quote/bind platforms efficiently to ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback to underwriting and product teams on market trends, and partner with marketing on lead quality insights to support the development of new offerings and demonstrate clear improvement in commercial insurance knowledge and technical competency
