Full-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our team. This position is the first point of contact with patients and is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team in Diagnostic Services, which includes technologists, practitioners and radiologists.

This position requires a strong attention to detail, understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with health care professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriately schedule appointments (in-person , telephone and fax) using electronic medical record (EMR) software.
  • Maximize appointment scheduling to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
  • Accurately document patient information and maintain confidential patient health records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and policies & procedures.
  • Work closely with clinician offices to provide pertinent information in a timely fashion.
  • Learn and support all clerical roles within the department in order to provide quality patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Current vulnerable sector police check.
  • COVID-19 double vaccinated.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Must be able to follow instructions accurately and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and health care professionals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
