**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
The MIA is responsible for supporting the patient experience by assisting the MRT as they prepare patients and equipment prior to, during and following the imaging process. He/she cares for patients by answering questions and preparing them for imaging procedures. It is his/her job to ensure that patients are comfortable and at ease during the imaging process. Preparation includes reviewing schedules and requisitions, physically positioning patients, inserting IVs when certified, and completing patient documentation as appropriate. He/she also communicates with other members of the health care team to coordinate patient care.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:

- Minimum 1 year completion of recognized medical diagnostic program (e.g. Medical Radiation Technologist) or other recognized health care discipline (for example, allied health or nursing)
- Preference will be given to MRT students
- Health related course work preferred.
