Summit Start Chestermere is looking for a SUPERVISOR to join our amazing team. We are seeking only Level 2 or 3 educators for this position.

In this role, you will support the Acting Daycare Director with the daily operations and overall management of the daycare.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a brand ambassador. You are the face of the company
  • Build relationships with co-workers, families and the community by creating trust and always acting with integrity.
  • Be accountable and take pride in the company.
  • Assist with daily centre operations, staffing coverage, and ratio management.
  • Support with scheduling, time-off approvals, and reviewing timesheets.
  • Maintain accurate staff and child records, incident reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
  • Support parent communication, inquiries, centre tours, and family engagement activities.
  • Participating in Professional Development training and being up to date on best practices in childcare.
  • Always ensure that the facility is hygienic, safe and healthy for children.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to licensing standards at all times.
  • Act as the leadership point of contact when the Acting Daycare Director is unavailable.

Requirements:

  • Alberta Childcare Certificate Level 2 / 3 ( We are only looking for Level 2 or 3 educators for this position)
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in supervising and managing child care facilities.
  • Comfortable with shifts scheduled between 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Great personality and lots of energy - You'll need it
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level B or C Certification.
  • Clear & Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector obtained within the last 6 months.
  • Ability to work exceptionally well in teams
  • Excellent verbal and written skills (English)
