Job Summary

The Paintaholic is a fast-growing painting and home improvement company offering interior/exterior painting, drywall repair, popcorn ceiling removal, stair refinishing, window washing, gutter cleaning, and custom wall projects.

We are booked consistently, expanding into multiple service areas, and now looking for a reliable part-time labourer or junior painter to join our team.

This position is perfect for someone who wants flexible hours, steady work, and the chance to grow with a company that's rapidly scaling.

Responsibilities

You will assist with a wide range of residential jobs, including:

Painting & Prep

  • Rolling walls & ceilings
  • Cutting in edges (if experienced)
  • Masking/taping
  • Drop sheet setup
  • Minor sanding & patching
  • General site cleanup

Drywall & Renovation Support

  • Basic drywall patching
  • Assisting with small repairs
  • Helping prep for popcorn ceiling removal
  • Helping set up and operate basic tools

Exterior & Home Services

  • Gutter cleaning
  • Window washing
  • Ladder setup
  • Helping load/unload tools
  • Pressure washing support

General Labour

  • Carrying materials
  • Assisting with setup & teardown
  • Helping move furniture
  • Supporting the lead painter on multiple job sites
  • Following safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Some painting or renovation experience (helpful but not required)
  • Comfortable with ladders (up to 2–3 storeys)
  • Can lift 40–50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Good communication
  • Positive attitude & willingness to learn
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently when needed
  • Must be okay with flexible hours (2–4 days/week depending on workload)
