Reporting to the Director, Operations Services, the Senior Supply Chain Advisor will assist in the optimization of supply chain management processes and initiatives. This individual will support strategy development, technology integration, risk management and compliance & sustainability.This position is based in the Calgary, AB office with travel to project sites required.What You Will Be Working On
- Analyze and develop supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes, sourcing or other operational deployments
- Execute strategic sourcing initiatives for goods and services that align with operational business needs
- Support operations as a subject mater expert in all SCM capacities
- Manage supplier relationship and work with strategic suppliers on value add initiatives
- Advise on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation, overall management of subcontracting program
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, finance, national SCM) to align supply chain goals with business objectives
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting supply chain operations
- Lead initiatives to digitize and automate supply chain workflows
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership through reports and presentations
- Support sustainability and ESG goals through responsible sourcing and waste reduction strategies

- Drive cost optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and maximize overall profitability, ensuring sustainable financial performance across business units
- Champion the adoption of digitization and automation strategies to streamline current operations and proactively shape future-state capabilities, driving innovation and operational excellence.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management
- 7+ years' experience in business analysis, preferably within a procurement or supply chain function and familiarity with the systems development lifecycle
- Advanced technical proficiency in: SharePoint, ViewPoint, SAP, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Advanced understanding of business processes and objectives with ability to elicit and recognize business problems or opportunities
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships while influencing change through collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP or PMP would be preferred
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record of driving cost savings and operational improvements
- Knowledge of, compliance, and risk management
