Specialty Leak Detection is growth area for Chemelex.  This position leads the specialty firmware development incubator for our leak detection business.  Together with a Leak Detection Hardware leader, you will develop, prototype, test, and commercialize new products in the leak detection domain.  This incubator is expected to drive commercial revenue quickly and create professional growth in multiple ways:  drive Chemelex's innovation in the leak detection domain, leverage Chemelex's electrical heat trace domain expertise toward integrated solutions, and collaborate toward an integrated leadership role in the future. 


IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL: 

  • Rapidly learn the leak detection domain and associated vertical markets, challenge established technologies and practices, and champion innovation. 
  • Collaborate with the commercial teams to propose product solutions, gain feedback, and drive product commercialization rapidly. 
  • Drive firmware design leveraging internal / external resources toward rapid prototyping. 
  • Collaborate with leak detection hardware leader to ensure workable design. 
  • Leverage expert feedback from electrical heat trace design toward ecosystem integration.   
  • Drive feature development, bug fixes, and scale-up toward commercial launch.
  • Document insights, designs, and technical observations through formal reports, design documents, code review, and seminar. 
  • Manage project execution, coordinating internal / external lab resources.
  • Complete qualification plans in accordance with Chemelex and industry standards. 

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 
  • 10+ years of experience with preference for electrical firmware embedded design/development or R&D. 
  • Executed projects requiring analytical thinking and problem solving techniques. 
  • Experience creating project plans and managing project execution. 
  • A passion for taking initiative, overcoming obstacles, and devising novel technical solutions. 
  • Desire to launch winning products. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on collaboration, teaching others, and creating knowledge.
