Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, experience with both Sage and QuickBooks, and a proven track record of working within a publicly traded company environment.

Starting wage is $80,000, with potential for a higher salary based on skill level and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment acquisitions and disposals, purchased and leased, according to IFRS 16 Right-to-use standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management
  • Handle payroll processing and tax filings in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual audits

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with both Sage and QuickBooks accounting software
  • Experience working for a publicly traded company, with an understanding of corporate governance and compliance requirements
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
