The Commercial Credit Adjudicator works closely with internal stakeholders to assess credit risk, structure lending facilities, analyze portfolio trends, and evolve SASCU's lending capabilities. What you’ll do: Lead the credit adjudication process for commercial loan applications within assigned authority, ensuring alignment with credit policy, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers to structure viable credit solutions that balance member needs with prudent risk standards. Lead or support the introduction of new commercial lending products, features, or structures. Enable data-driven strategic decisions by monitoring key metrics and reporting on performance to senior management. Maintain stakeholder confidence and compliance by effectively supporting internal and external audits and regulatory reviews. Increase portfolio effectiveness by recommending process improvements in monitoring, reporting, and risk management. Stay informed on industry trends, economic shifts, and regulatory developments affecting commercial lending. Demonstrate team collaboration through cross-training, vacation coverage, and providing support to retail underwriting when required. What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. 6-7 years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting, or adjudicating. Experience with portfolio management is an asset. Strong knowledge of commercial credit products, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in financial statement analysis, risk rating tools; familiarity with portfolio management software is an asset.
