Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a vital part in delivering outstanding service and solutions to our clients on a range of projects, including mechanical equipment assessments, HVAC system design consulting, build system consulting for new construction, depreciation reports, warranty reviews, and so much more. General Responsibilities:

  • Marketing: Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.
  • Knowledge Development: Enhance your understanding of building science, life cycle analysis and costing while sharing insights and lessons learned with the team.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing mechanical construction documents and equipment specifications
  • Conduct site evaluations and mechanical assessments
  • Contribute to mechanical report writing
  • Support project coordination and contribute to successful project delivery
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless communication
  • Represent Sense at client meetings and other networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards
  • Other duties as assigned/required

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • AutoCAD experience is a must
  • Proven experience in mechanical systems design for buildings, building systems, life cycle analysis, and cost estimation
  • Registered with or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset
  • Team player who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required
