Development/Competitive Gymnastics Coach

Hours: 6–12 hrs/week

Start Date: Mid-January to February

Cloud Gymnastics is seeking an experienced gymnastics coach to take a lead role in coaching our developing pre-competitive and future competitive programs. This position is ideal for a coach who understands healthy, modern coaching principles and wants to help shape a positive, athlete-centered pathway.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead coaching for school-age athletes progressing beyond recreational levels
  • Develop athletes through structured progressions rooted in safety, technique, and confidence
  • Assist in shaping our future competitive stream (Thunderclouds)
  • Mentor junior or assistant coaches where appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with parents and the Head Coach regarding progress and expectations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience coaching Women's artistic gymnastics (WAG)
  • Strong understanding of progressions, biomechanics, and athlete development
  • Commitment to safe sport and positive coaching philosophies
  • Experience with lesson planning and skill tracking
  • First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
