TDS Veritas Team

The TDS Veritas Platform is the cross-asset pricing and risk management platform for TD Securities. TDS Veritas is also the strategic storage and compute infrastructure for numerous business-aligned products used by front office users as well as risk management functions in the Investment Bank. Within the wider platform team, the TDS Veritas Data Interfaces team is responsible for the applications and pipelines that integrate Trade, Market Data and Reference Data.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer (Engineer II) to join our team and contribute to the development of data-intensive applications. In this role, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing batch and streaming data pipelines while designing and implementing critical components on our data and analytics platform

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Java developer with experience in the Capital Markets domain and a proven track record of building scalable data systems. You are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and project teams to solve complex data and system integration problems.

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for mission-critical applications.

• Implement data products and features in collaboration with our business partners.

• Ensure data quality and operational integrity across data sources.

• Provide technical expertise to our Support teams in resolving escalated incidents.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and Spring.

• 5+ years of experience working in the Capital Markets domain, with an understanding of its complexities.

• Proven expertise in designing scalable, production-grade applications and services.

• Proficiency in Java technology stack and messaging/streaming frameworks (e.g. Spring, Kafka, Protocol Buffers).

• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
