As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

  • Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with our services (including exposure to other disciplines)
  • Preparation of technical reports
  • Communications with clients and other EnVision team members to assist with the development and execution of work
  • Assist in proposal preparation
  • Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
  • Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement
  • Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
  • Supporting Health & Safety programs
  • Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
  • Any other functions assigned as part of your employment

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering or a related discipline or technology/technician diploma
  • Knowledge of earth science, geology, hydrogeology, and environmental chemistry
  • Eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO), or Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) would be an asset
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
  • Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  • Ability to progress towards working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  • Ability to work outdoors, in all seasons and weather
