Sport Driving Canada is currently seeking full-time and part-time Workshop Technicians to join our client’s team at the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto (PEC). **Position Objective**:
The Workshop Technician will assist in basic maintenance and servicing of the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) vehicle fleet. This includes tasks such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable. The role focuses on supporting the Workshop Supervisor and ensuring vehicles are ready for PEC activities.

The Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) is a brand immersion destination for automobile enthusiasts. It offers the ability for guests of all ages to take in the heritage of the brand, experience the Porsche lifestyle and the thrill of the drive, allowing Porsche to build connections with people from all walks of life. Guests visit the PEC primarily to engage in driving experiences behind the wheel of a Porsche vehicle on a purpose-built driver development track.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Perform maintenance tasks on the PEC vehicle fleet, such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and cleaning vehicles**.**
- Support the Workshop Supervisor in preparing vehicles for PEC activities.
- Conduct inspections and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for track and display purposes.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to manage parts inventory, including ordering and returning parts as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records for all fleet vehicles.
- Assist in preparing vehicles for PEC activities, including track events and customer experiences.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in the workshop.
- Support warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns as directed by the Workshop Supervisor.
- Operate both standard and automatic vehicles as required for testing and transport.
- Follow workshop policies and procedures to maintain Porsche’s high-quality standards.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop to ensure operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor and other team members regarding vehicle statuses and repairs.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Prior to PEC opening**:

- Assist in setting up workshop procedures and processes for PEC Toronto.
- Support equipment and tool preparation for workshop operations.

**Once PEC is open**:

- Perform maintenance tasks, including brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and cleaning work on the PEC vehicle fleet
- Inspect and verify quality of work completed on fleet vehicles before their release.
- Maintain compliance with Porsche’s training and certification requirements.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve efficiency and performance in workshop operations.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business / Engineering or Technical School Degree preferred, or equivalent

**Experience (Job and Industry)**:

- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in luxury or performance vehicles.
- Familiarity with Porsche vehicles or experience in a dealership/service center environment preferred.
- Knowledge of workshop processes and diagnostic tools.

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical and technical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- General computer skills (e.g., Dealer Management Systems, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles.
- English proficiency required; French or German is a plus.
