Duties: Niagara School of Music is hiring a teacher who can teach voice AND piano.

MUST LIVE IN CANADA, within 35 km. of the Niagara, Ontario area.

A college degree in music is NOT required. Many of our best teachers are performers who have 10+ years of experience, are great with children and have an outgoing personality. Must be able to teach voice beginners, intermediate levels but also piano beginner to intermediate.

Job Description:

  • Teach voice lessons as well as piano to students of various ages and skill levels

-MUST BE ABLE TO ACCOMPANY VOICE STUDENTS ON THE PIANO FOR PERFORMANCES

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the needs and goals of each student, especially voice students

- Provide guidance and support to help students improve their voice skills as well as piano playing skills

- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for voice students

- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians

- Prepare voice students as well as piano for recitals, competitions, and other performance opportunities

- Stay updated on current teaching methods and techniques in voice and piano instruction

Requirements:

- Proficiency in teaching voice is essential

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience and the ability to work well with students of all ages

-Own transportation to travel to a dedicated teaching space

- Flexibility in scheduling

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
