Cabling Ottawa is a leading provider of structured cabling and security solutions. We are seeking an experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technician to join our growing team.

Note: This role does not involve computer programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise technicians on structured cabling projects
  • Install, terminate, test, and label copper & fiber cabling
  • Manage or assist with project planning and scheduling
  • Order materials and complete work orders
  • Train new employees
  • Work directly with customers
  • Install WiFi APs, access control systems, and IP cameras

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structured cabling
  • Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A & all types of fiber
  • Cable testing using Fluke testers
  • Ability to read floor plans
  • Clean driving record
  • Must have or be able to obtain Reliability & Secret Clearance by the Canadian Government
  • Willing to travel for out-of-town projects

WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, ASP, 4 & 5 Step Awareness, Panduit, Belden, Reliability, and or Secret Clearance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
